WOW, I love this tv! I am a movie fan and generally broadcast tv doesn’t hold my interest too long, but this set, coupled with cable hd channels certainly has changed that! I highly recommend this tv to anyone who is budget minded and still looking for a set size for a main room. The picture clarity and crispness is amazing and close or fairly far away the 37″ screen shows it all and my only complaint is that some on air people certainly are not being treated kindly now that I see them in true HD lol. My only issue with the set is that I didn’t get it sooner! The shipping and delivery was fast and it arrived in great condition. No dead or warm pixels and no complaints at all. The remote is very simply and aside from it using a c-6 style battery seems fine. I use the cable supplied remote for most everything, so not really an issue for me at all. I compared this same set with both 32″ and 40 and 42″ sets in a dept store here prior to buying and for the size, even the 42″ isn’t that much larger, certainly not enough to spend the extra, at least not for me. And the 32″ just was too small by comparison. I hope this review may help someone else as I am very pleased and truly feel it was a great investment.

I read some of the reviews and concerns with this TV, because at this moment, I’ve only had it for two weeks, and I’m still within the 30-day return period.
I have not yet been able detect the light cones coming from the edges while watching the TV in a dark room. The stunning picture seems to me equally impressive regardless of the level of light in the room. I appreciate the review from the customer who posted his information and recommended to buy the LCD instead of the LED, but I simply have not been able detect the problem that made him return the TV. I also respect but disagree with the person who made the remarks about the bad quality of sound, and recommended not buying the sound bar. I got my TV at Best Buy and the deal I found included the sound bar with the wireless sub-woofer for free.
The TV speakers sound to me just fine, nice volume without distortion, and in combination with the sound bar the sound is as good as it gets without a full-featured high-end home theater system.
My only bad experience with this TV happened while connecting the sound bar to the TV using the supplied optical cable. The supplied cable was so short that it barely allowed the connection, and forced it to fold sharply, because the audio port on the sound bar is on the end most distant from where it is on the TV (clearly a design mismatch from Samsung). But the real problem came when sliding the optical jack into the fragile port behind the TV. Even though I was careful, I could hear a snap, and noticed that the tiny door in the optical receptacle broke off. I suspect that it may have been broken from the start, but perhaps it broke while I was making the connection. The result was a faulty connection that caused the sound bar’s volume to go up and down. I had to use tape to keep the optical cable aligned in place, because the broken receptacle would not hold the optical jack firmly in place. For this reason, I brought back the TV to the store and got a replacement. This time I bought a longer optical cable and made the connection with even more care, very very slowly. I heard a click, and this time nothing was broken and the cable stayed in place. I’m now enjoying my TV with no sound problems. The sound bar not only greatly enhances the TV’s sound, but also looks great, as it matches the TV’s classy Touch of Color edge look. The wireless sub-woofer is not very powerful (although it is quite large and heavy) but it does help to provide a sense of bass and surround sound, as I placed it on the opposite corner of the room from the TV. It automatically connects without wires every time the sound bar is turned on.
I think that this TV along with its sound bar and sub-woofer will be a keeper. The positive by far outweighs the negative. I definitely recommend it, just be extremely careful when connecting that optical cable.

I received this TV as a birthday gift. I installed it in my home office on a wall mount. Once powered up I was impressed with the picture quality and sound. For a small package it has a clear picture with bright colors and crisp details. The sound is sufficient for my office and can get pretty loud if I set it loud. The built-in DVD player is easy to use.
The remote is not as user friendly as I would like.

I’ve had my Toshiba for a week now and it is an excellent toy. It looks sleek, has a fantastic HD picture (for 60hz) and all the features I need. It was a snap to hookup my laptop, a Blu-ray player, and the HD cable box to the TV. All connect to the TV using HDMI inputs, through HDMI cables purchased here on Amazon.com. It all works flawlessly. I can watch cable, switch to the laptop to look something up on Wikipedia, then switch again to a DVD.
The picture on HD content is superb. The sound is fine and gets plenty loud. The TV has “regza-link” functionality, which means the remote can control other devices that are regza-link compliant. My simultaneously purchased Toshiba BDX2000 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player is such a device, so I can control it *and* the TV with the TV remote. I like that.
So that’s my testimonial toward the quality. The other aspect of my praise goes toward the incredible sense of pride in scoring such an amazing deal. 1080p? 0? And it competes handsomely with more expensive models? Done. Get it – you’ll be happy.

I picked this TV up this morning at my local bait and switch shop. It wasn’t on fifth or seventh avenues….if you live in the NYC area, you know who I am referring to. They had it for a bit less than you see on here, but to be honest, I was looking to get it today.
The salesman there mentioned that a lot of people are having issues with this TV and cable boxes. I guess Viore is new to the scene and not a lot of cable box universal remotes work with the Viore TV’s. The salesman was gracious enough to show me another, higher priced TV that he knew would work with local cable boxes. I hate when they do that. And that is why I am writing this review.
I got this TV to work with my TiVo using the Samsung remote codes. How did I know to do this? I did some searching on this TV before I headed to the stores. I saw a few people write online that this TV uses a lot of Samsung parts. I have no idea if Viore is a division of Samsung, or some kind of partner, but if they use similar parts, maybe they use the same remote codes. On my TiVo, it had one code for Viore, which did not work. However, there had to be a dozen codes for Samsung. The third one I tried worked, I think it was 0092.
If I got it to work with the TiVo using Samsung codes, I would bet it can work with other companies boxes too.
Now, about the TV. It has a nice, bright picture. This is not one of those super thin (2″ or less thick TV’s). It is about 3″ thick. It is also really lightweight, maybe 10-15 pounds. I have it sitting on top of my TiVo in my bedroom. The picture is good. I have a Sharp Aquos and Sony Bravia in the house to compare it to, so maybe I am being harsh saying it is just good. For a bedroom, it is going to be great. I have read elsewhere that a lot of the cheaper LCD TV’s have tinny sound quality. I would bet that this is part from the TV’s getting so thin. The small TV’s cannot generate good bass cheaply in a small cabinet. This TV sounds pretty good. I turned the bass and treble up to about 75% for each and it sounds good. It is not tinny at all.
This TV has one HDMI, component, and a 15 pin VGA port to use it as a monitor. The manual is really sparse. This is a value priced TV, so I didn’t expect much in terms of documentation.
Overall, I think this is going to be a nice TV for my bedroom. Would I buy it for my living room? No. But as a small TV to catch Conan before I head to sleep, it will be just fine.
